Ivey Engagement Shoot today

So we’ve been married for over two years now, and we finally decided to get an engagement session for ourselves (it was my present to my wife this Christmas). Now that it’s finally spring, we going out today to have our photos done by a friend of ours, and a fabulous wedding photographer in the Chattanooga area, Meghan of Soli Photography. She’s one of those artistic creative photographers that inspires me, and challenges me to not accept my own shortcomings. I hate that some photographers feel threatened or intimidated by others in their region. I’ve found that rather than thriving off a competitive spirit, it’s so much easier and better to talk with and share with those in your own craft. Sure we “compete” in the Chattanooga wedding market, but I will never be a Meghan (she really is phenomenal) and I know that she will never be a Tim. So cue up the soundtrack from ‘Dazed and Confused’ (“Why Can’t We Be Friends?”), and let Starbucks give Dunken Donuts a hug, Krystal’s and McDonalds share a milkshake, and Pizza Hut and Little Caesar’s go on Adkins together–all this to say, I cannot wait to see *and show* what Meghan captures today!
